Look around the world today. What do you see? Garbage heaps, needles, and sprawling homeless camps litter the streets of America’s cities. Droves of swarthy criminals roam with impunity. Once vibrant hubs of culture and craftsmanship, America's city squares have been desecrated. The idea of owning a home or a car is a fleeting dream for America’s posterity. The youth are inculcated with non-covert left-wing messaging and pornography in popular media, whether from Hollywood or social media platforms. Today, America is on fire, and our form of democracy cannot quell the flames.

Far too many Republicans clutch pearls on the topic of the Constitution and classical liberalism. Their minds are permanently molded by the abstractions of “the free market,” “amendments,” and “freedoms,” which disable them from taking any reactionary move against the status quo. Even worse, adding more freedom opens the door for those diametrically opposed to us. More “freedom” in the market does nothing to stop usury, prostitution, or drug distribution. Even the great First Amendment, which Republicans worship tirelessly, is used to promote the growth of all things non-American – freedom of speech to blaspheme Christ, promote sexual deviancy, and encourage anti-white hatred. Then, when Americans react to the dumpster fire in front of them, the First Amendment is tossed aside.

Contrary to what many modern conservatives claim, “small government” is not the answer and will never solve any modern problems. Drawing back the full force of the government, which our enemies have used to sell out and replace America, will only provide a respite for America’s enemies, who will later return with a greater vengeance.

Conservatives tremble at the idea of wielding power for good, but it takes less than a cursory glance to recognize the efficiency and power behind a state with righteousness. Franco’s government enshrined Christian morality into law in Spain by incorporating Catholic teachings with the state and successfully drove out communists for decades. Even today, the benefits of authoritarianism are evident in the once third-world country of El Salvador. There, Bukele’s hyper-militarized police force purged cartel activity across the nation, reducing the murder rate from a high of 103.0 per hundred thousand when he assumed office to a mere 2.4 per hundred thousand. Time and time again, we are reminded that systems of hierarchical authority work.

So why does nothing happen in America? Some blame the existence of government itself, falling into a common mental abyss known as “libertarianism.” Others blame the wealthy and the systems of capitalism, which keep Americans as subservient slaves to a police-backed capitalist system. This is close but doesn’t encapsulate the whole problem.

The reality of the situation in America is that serious problems are manufactured by interested parties that have no genuine desire for American prosperity or success. Our current government is designed to prioritize individual rights over morality, inevitably causing certain parties to skirt morality and put themselves above the people's interests. Under this form of liberal democracy, the nation democratizes morality entirely separate from God. Actual moral policy is replaced by a useless substitute, “morality,” which is chosen arbitrarily by an immoral populace.

Consider the example of what a total abortion ban would look like. It would take an army of righteous men to ensure that the Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics are shut down nationwide, the abortion doctors and child-sacrificing mothers are jailed, and pills and black market abortions are mitigated. This takes the use of authority and power, even where it’s unpopular. Saving the lives of children shouldn’t be put up to a vote, and it is immoral to allow our “democratic” process to stand in the way of saving children.

America needs authority because our form of democracy has failed us. When the people needed moral restoration, efficient infrastructure, and a strong border, the judges, lawmakers, police departments, and bureaucrats turned a blind eye to the heaping ruins or, worse, added fuel to the fire. It is long past time to take restorative action to repair our nation. The way our founders created our system might have worked for a time, but it is now slowly enslaving us into degenerate hegemony.

If America closed its borders, stopped mass migration, encouraged Christians to have families, banned pornography and abortion, withdrew from foreign wars, and cleaned up the cities, it would be close to being great again. The solutions aren’t complex, but the right needs to use power properly to implement the solutions. American leaders need to take a page from the authoritarian playbook and understand that using power to advance our goals is required to restore America to her former glory.
